A sporting & fitness competition for cancer patients & survivors and a public health expo

Rules

The Survivors Competition is not a body building competition, so please do not go out and start bench pressing 400lbs in an attempt to beef up. We’re not looking for participants to compete looking like beet farmers.  This competition is a fun way for beginners (unless otherwise stated) to start incorporating exercise and a more natural diet into their daily lives.

For those individuals who are cancer patients or cancer survivors and are more advanced in fitness, we will be having competitions for you to compete in on later dates TBA.  Look for it on our website.

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older to compete
  • No experience required, this competition is for beginners
  • Before pictures are required from each participant
  • Registration fee and signed release of liability form is required from each participant before each event.  No participant will be allowed to compete until fees have been received and the release of liability form has been signed, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Only cancer patients and cancer survivors are allowed to compete unless otherwise stated.  Family members, friends, spouses, co-workers, etc., are not allowed to compete for someone unless they too are a cancer patient or cancer survivor.
  • For those that are actively going through cancer treatment, it is highly recommended they receive clearance from their treating physician before competing.
  • Male participants are to wear box style swim trunks, with no shirt or shoes while being judged on stage unless otherwise stated.
  • Women are to wear black mid-thigh yoga pants, with a white spaghetti strap tank top and white tennis shoes while being judged on stage unless otherwise stated.
  • Any participant not wearing the appropriate judging attire, will not be allowed to compete, NO EXCEPTIONS.
